Well, hello all you lovely people! <img src=”http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v198/roxygurl228/smilies/kissy.gif” alt=”:kissy:” /> How have you all been? I’ve been pretty good, can’t complain about anything really. Except for the heat we’ve been having the past couple of days. <img src=”http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v198/roxygurl228/smilies/sd2.gif” alt=”:sweatdrop2:” />
Not a whole lot has been going on, but I’m going to just write the key things that have been going on.
<b>Site updates:</b> The <a href=”http://www.blissful-vengeance.org/gallery” target=”_blank”>Gallery</a> has some new pictures that I added. The Mastodon ones, plus the one marked “Outdoor Pictures”. Added the outdoor ones the 14th.
<b>New layout:</b> Yup! New layout. <img src=”http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v198/roxygurl228/smilies/smile.gif” alt=”” /> I know it’s not the best I’ve ever made, but I love the colors of it, plus the colors of the css. I might end up making another layout with the same colors, but I still like how simple this one is. <img src=”http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v198/roxygurl228/smilies/heart.gif” alt=”” />
<b>Good Charlotte concert:</b> Went to a <a href=”http://www.goodcharlotte.com/” target=”_blank”>Good Charlotte</a> concert on Thursday night. <a href=”http://www.relientk.com” target=”_blank”>Relient K</a> and <a href=”http://www.simpleplan.com/” target=”_blank”>Simple Plan</a> were also there. It was actually a really good concert, but really long! <img src=”http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v198/roxygurl228/smilies/whoa.gif” alt=”:whoa:” /> I took my digicam, but unfortunately they took it, so I couldn’t get any pictures. Luckily I got it back at the end of the concert.
It was funny, because I wasn’t even planning on going to the concert since I didn’t have a ticket, but Chad’s (my brother) girlfriend was taking her two daughters and a friend of theirs, and they had an extra ticket. So they called me like 10 minutes before they were going to leave the house, and I only had about 10 or 15 minutes to get ready. <img src=”http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v198/roxygurl228/smilies/shocked.gif” alt=”” /> I just have to say that is the quickest I have ever gotten ready for <b>anything</b>! <img src=”http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v198/roxygurl228/smilies/laugh.gif” alt=”” />
<b>Bellybutton pierced:</b> Yes, you read correctly. I got my bellybutton pierced. <img src=”http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v198/roxygurl228/smilies/woohoo.gif” alt=”:woohoo:” /> As you may or may not have known, I’ve been on a diet for awhile, and my mom and I had a deal that when I got down to 150 and stayed there or under for a week, that she would pay for me to get my bellybutton pierced.
So on April 30th, we went to <a href=”http://www.gradeatattoos.com” target=”_blank”>Grade A Tattoos and Body Piercing</a> and had it done. It really didn’t hurt as much as I thought it would. <img src=”http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v198/roxygurl228/smilies/shocked.gif” alt=”” /> Here’s a picture <a href=”http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v198/roxygurl228/piercings/Im000486.jpg” target=”_blank”>here</a>. The thing has purple stones in it, since my birthday is in February. Sorry the picture is not very good, but you get the idea. <img src=”http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v198/roxygurl228/smilies/grin.gif” alt=”” />
<b>WordPress:</b> Again as you can see, I now have <a href=”http://www.wordpress.org” target=”_blank”>WordPress</a> on the site, but not with .php yet. I’m using Iframes for now. How frustrating .php is to me. <img src=”http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v198/roxygurl228/smilies/frustrated.gif” alt=”:frustrated:” /> Oh, well. I’ll get it eventually. <img src=”http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v198/roxygurl228/smilies/blush.gif” alt=”” /> Speaking of wordpress, I found some really good tutorials at <a href=”http://lovemeforme.org/?page_id=24” target=”_blank”>this site</a>. They’re really good, but I tried the clickable smilies one, and got errors. The error was so bad that it messed up my entire wordpress thing. <img src=”http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v198/roxygurl228/smilies/annoyed.gif” alt=”:annoyed:” /> That’s probably my fault. I must have done it wrong. <img src=”http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v198/roxygurl228/smilies/confused.gif” alt=”” />
See, I want to have clickable smilies on my end so that all I have to do is just click the smiley, and it puts the code in for me. But I also want to put it in the comments part so that commenters can do the same thing. Somehow, I keep on getting errors. <img src=”http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v198/roxygurl228/smilies/evil.gif” alt=”” /> I even downloaded a plugin so that I can have neater smilies too, and it’s activated, but I just can’t figure out how to use it. I’m pretty sure <a href=”http://lovemeforme.org/?page_id=24” target=”_blank”>she</a> has a tutorial on that part too. <img src=”http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v198/roxygurl228/smilies/blank.gif” alt=”:blank:” /> Does anyone know how you can put a comment graphic up on the comment page? Mine pops-up as you can see, and I know there is a way, but can’t figure out where to put the image code.
<b>Mastodons on Parade:</b> What’s that mean you might be asking? <img src=”http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v198/roxygurl228/smilies/wtf.gif” alt=”:wtf:” /> Let me elaborate. Our city is big on <a href=”http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=Mastodons” target=”_blank”>Mastodons</a> for some reason. At IPFW (One of our colleges in our city. Stands for <b>I</b>ndiana-<b>P</b>urdue at <b>F</b>ort <b>W</b>ayne.) Anyways, at IPFW the mascot is a mastodon since a few years ago they found some huge Mastodon bones buried there. <img src=”http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v198/roxygurl228/smilies/whoa.gif” alt=”:whoa:” /> So, this year we have this thing called Mastodons on Parade, where area businesses could buy a <b>huge</b> Mastodon statue, and decorate them. Well, on Mother’s Day me, my mom, my step-dad, my Grandma, and my Grandpa went downtown to see some of them. I took pictures of some of them. Didn’t get all of them since there’s 102 of them, but I did get over 40 of them. I installed a gallery <a href=”http://www.blissful-vengeance.org/gallery” target=”_blank”>here</a>. It gives the name of the statues, plus the businesses. <img src=”http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v198/roxygurl228/smilies/smile.gif” alt=”” /> Speaking of the gallery…
<b>Installed a Gallery:</b> I installed a gallery finally. Was a whole lot easier installing it than wordpress, since I have fantastico working now. <img src=”http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v198/roxygurl228/smilies/hmph.gif” alt=”:hmph:” /> I thought it would be easier to link pictures this way, instead of linking each individual picture in a pop-up window. I might still do that for some pictures, but especially the Mastodon ones, I didn’t want to link each individual picture. <img src=”http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v198/roxygurl228/smilies/tongue.gif” alt=”” /> I do have a question for those of you who use those type of galleries. When you click on that link, see how it shows new images with thumbnails? How do you get a thumbnail of the actual picture instead of the default thumbnail picture? Any help with that would be greatly appreciated. <img src=”http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v198/roxygurl228/smilies/biggrin.gif” alt=”” />
Well, that’s really all I can think of at the moment. <img src=”http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v198/roxygurl228/smilies/bye.gif” alt=”:bye:” />…
